Singer and actor Himesh Reshammiya is making a cinematic comeback with ‘Badass Ravi Kumar’ on January 7. Set against the backdrop of the 1980s, the movie has already become a sensation among cinema buffs thanks to its over-the-top dialogues and funky songs.
Certified U/A by the Central Board of Film Certification, ‘Badass Ravi Kumar’ clocks in at a runtime of 2 hours and 21 minutes. This action-comedy is set to hit theaters across India under the banner of AA Films. The initial plan is to screen the film on approximately 1,750 screens, with potential for expansion should the demand surge.
Apart from Himesh, the cast also includes Prabhu Deva, Kirti Kulhari, Simona J, Johnny Lever, Sanjay Mishra, Sunny Leone.
The anticipation around “Badass Ravi Kumar” was evident from the moment advance bookings opened on Tuesday evening. By Wednesday evening, the film had already secured sales of around 10,000 tickets in major cinema chains such as PVR Inox and Cinepolis, per News18. This initial surge in bookings suggests an increasing interest from moviegoers, thanks to the unhinged trailer released in January.

As a result, film’s opening day is expected to rake in collections between Rs 4.50 crore and Rs 5.50 crore.
