Babil Khan’s Now-Deleted Instagram Story Sparks Concerns Amongst Fans: ‘Feel Like Giving Up’

Babil Khan, son of the legendary actor Irrfan Khan who passed away on 29 April 2020, often remembers his father on his Instagram account in heartfelt and moving posts.

Recently, as we approach Irrfan Khan’s fourth death anniversary, Babil Khan posted, and later deleted, a story on his Instagram page, worrying his fans.

Babil Khan wrote, “Sometimes I feel like giving up and going to Baba.”

Babil was only 22 when he lost his father. And while all his fans, and the world of movies in general, mourned Irrfan Khan’s tragic loss, it has been particularly difficult for the iconic actor’s family.

Below, you can see a screenshot of Babil Khan’s now-deleted Instagram post.

Many users on the platform flocked the comment section of Babil’s Instagram, sending him words of comfort and concern, asking if everything is alright. While Babil has since deleted the post, he hasn’t commented on it or reacted to it since.

Apart from Babil, Irrfan has another son with wife Sutapa Sikdar, named Ayaan Khan. His wife is also an actor, as well as a writer.

Throughout his career, Irrfan starred in multiple commercial and critically successful Hollywood movies, like The Amazing Spider-Man, Life of Pi, Jurassic World, Slumdog Millionaire, Inferno, and The Namesake.

Following Irrfan Khan’s passing, Babil has followed in his footsteps by becoming an actor himself. He made his acting debut in 2022 with the Netflix original movie Qala, which also starred Tripti Dimri and Swastika Mukherjee.

Babil later starred in Friday Night Plan, also a Netflix original film, alongside Juhi Chawla.

He most recently starred in The Railway Men, a Netflix original series, alongside R. Madhavan, Kay Kay Menon, and Divyenndu. It also featured Sunny Hinduja and Juhi Chawla in supporting roles.

Babil Khan will next be seen in The Umesh Chronicles, which will also star Amitabh Bachchan and is produced by Shoojit Sircar.
