Badshah Explains Why His Dallas Concert Was Halted Midway, Apologises To Fans: ‘Due To A Discrepancy…’

Rapper Badshah, who is in the United States of America on a tour, recently shared a note on his official Instagram account announcing the cancellation of his Dallas show while also apologizing to the fans for the same.

In this Instagram post, the rapper informed that he was forced to halt his Dallas concert midway due to a discrepancy between the local promoters and production house.

Badshah’s statement read, “I am literally so heartbroken and bummed about what happened today. You guys are incredible and deserve better. I was really looking forward to performing in your city but, due to a discrepancy between the local promoters and the production company, I was forced to cut short the set and stop the show midway. Promoters need to be better equipped, especially for large format shows, and this kind of nonchalance is just unacceptable to most performing artists. It takes a considerable amount of energy and effort to put together a tour of this scale.”

He then continued “This isn’t fair to the fans, who spend their hard-earned money to purchase that ticket, and it definitely isn’t fair to the whole crew who pours their hearts into putting on these tours. We rehearse for weeks, plan for months, and travel tirelessly to bring you the best possible experience.”

The rapper concluded by saying, “We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience, disappointment, and irritation caused due to this sheer lack of management from the promoter’s end. We will make sure things are better managed in the future, with a more competent promoter team that prioritizes a quality experience and understands that music and touring is a serious business.”

But not all the comments on the post were positive, supportive, or understanding. The top comment reads, “Please explain why you started at 9:45 instead of 8? All three parties are unprofessional – you, the production company, and the promoter. Nobody came on the mic to apologize sincerely and explain the situation,” while another wrote, “It’s so strange that the same thing happened in Singapore. He started late, sang for hardly 75 minutes in total, and then the show ended abruptly with all the venue lights going on, and sound being cut off. So, in every country the organizers are the problem?” One user simply asked, “Why don’t you issue refunds?”

Meanwhile, Badshah, along with music sensations Divine and Karan Aujla, will appear on The Great Indian Kapil Show tonight on 15 June 2024. The talk show will be streaming on Netflix.
