Kareena Kapoor, Tabu and Kriti Sanon’s recent release Crew is receiving love from fans at the box office. New box office releases have revealed that the film’s first-day collection was approximately Rs 8.75 cr in India.
For the unversed, the numbers mark the chick flick as one of the biggest openings in the recent months. Some of the other biggest openings of the year include Fighter led by Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone and Shaitaan led by Ajay Devgn and R Madhavan.
Meanwhile, Crew was competing at the box office alongside Prithviraj Sukumaran’s The Goat Life and Hollywood releases like Godzilla X Kong: The New Empire. The Hindi film’s collection is expected to increase over the weekend due to positive reaction. The film also hit the big screen before a long weekend which is expected to have a positive impact on the film’s box office.

The film’s review by Mashable India’s in house critic read, “Crew is a light-hearted fun chick-flick to watch and tho many scenes might not be logical, but hey who cares about logic in Bollywood? The movie picks up pace pretty fast but slows down a bit before the interval hits.”
It added, “The second act of the film does have several loopholes and might even make you question some scenes. But overall the film is sexy, emotional, fun, thrilling and heart warming at the same time.”
The film also stars Kapil Sharma alongside Tabu, Kareena Kapoor and Kriti Sanon.
