Deepika Padukone has now made her mark on the global stage by being featured on Deadline Hollywood magazine’s prestigious Global Disruptors 2024 list. Joining the ranks of international icons like Eva Longoria, Uma Thurman, and Lee Sung Jin, Deepika is celebrated for her trailblazing contributions to the entertainment industry.
Acknowledged as “India’s surprise superstar on a mission to break boundaries and taboos,” Deepika’s impact transcends borders. Not only has she delivered consecutive box office hits, but she has also represented India on numerous global platforms. Reflecting on her journey, Deepika expressed gratitude for her debut film, Om Shanti Om, which catapulted her into stardom and changed her life overnight.

She spoke about her Hollywood journey and said, “About a decade ago, when I started my journey in the West auditioning, it was a really new process for me because I’d never had to audition. I wasn’t a trained actor, and I never went to a fancy acting school-everything that I’ve learned has been on the job. The systems are so different between Hollywood and Bollywood.”
