Fighter, Karmma Calling, Shark Tank India S3: Movies And Shows To Watch Out For This Week

Bollywood will record a major release this week, possibly marking the start of the biggest Bollywood collection of the month, and set the tone for 2024. Meanwhile, there are other titles also releasing this week but mainly for OTT platform like Netflix, Amazon Prime Video and more. There aren’t any big screen releases but, plenty of international small screen releases like Flex X Cop. Take a look at all the movies and shows releasing this week.

Fighter (Theatres, Jan 25)
Hrithik Roshan’s first aerial film is set to release this week. Also led by Deepika Padukone and Anil Kapoor, the film follows a group of elite task force that is set out after the 2019 Pulwama attack which was answered with Balakot airstrikes.

Flex X Cop (Disney+ Hotstar, Jan 26)
The Korean drama follows Jin Yi-Soo a third-generation rich chaebol who turns detective for a police violent crimes team, along with Lee Kang-hyun a veteran detective in the violent crime department. It explores a romantic plot between the two as she expects him to be a nuisance, while he tries to wipe out criminals by using his enormous wealth, personal connections.

Karmma Calling (Disney+ Hotstar, Jan 26)
Led by Raveena Tandon, the show also stars Namrata Sheth, Varun Sood, Vikramjeet Virk. Not much about the plot has been revealed, the synopsis does give a glimpse into the story, it said “A girl looking for revenge and in mood for no mercy.”

Wonka (BMS, Jan 22)
The prequel to Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, it follows the genius chocolate maker on his journey to present his work in front the biggest chocolate empire also known as the cartel. It explores what happens when they go head to head.

Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom (BMS, Jan 23)
Sequel To Aquaman, the DC film follows the King of Atlantis as he takes on the throne but an old enemy return with the power of the oldest more powerful kingdom under the sea.

Sam Bahadur (ZEE5, Jan 26)
Vicky Kaushal’s film is a biopic of Sam Manekshaw, the first Field Marshal of independent India. It explores his life from childhood to his retirement and his involvement in major wars that India fought and his influence in Indian politics.

Animal (Netflix, Jan 26)
Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s film turned out to be one of the biggest controversy of the year. Led by Rashmika Mandanna and Ranbir Kapoor, the film is about the troubled relationship between a father-son duo. It was being called one of the most toxic movie of the year but has also received 19 Filmfare nominations.

Shark Tank India Season 3 (Sony LIV, Jan 22)
The show is all set to introduce some new judges including Aman Gupta, Ritesh Agarwal, Deepinder Goyal, Anupam Mittal, Namita Thapar, Vineeta Singh, Radhika Gupta, Peyush Bansal. The reality show will see new entrepreneurs looking for advise and investment.
