Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s vision for Heeramandi was beautiful, royal and grand. With a vision so big, it comes as no surprise that the star-studded cast was expected to go above and beyond with their assigned roles. Young actress Shruti Sharma recently recalled shooting an intimate scene which ended up with her having rashes.
In an interview with Entertainment Live, Shruti recalled filming a romantic scene with her co-star Iqbal played by Rajat Kaul. ”That type of romance I had done for the first time on the screen. We were rolling and we were talking, and you know it was difficult choreography, we were on top of each other,” she stated.
For those unversed, the particular scene picturizes Shruti’s character Saima tries to seduce Iqbal. They then share an intimate moment in a horse shed, on a bed of hay. Shruti continued, ”I got rashes on my body because it was so harsh. I think we shot that scene for on whole day and when that scene got over, my kajal was smudged because there was dust and dirt. But the scene looks so beautiful.”

Shruti Sharma had previously revealed, in an interview with Pinkvilla, that she put her entire faith in Sanjay Leela Bhansali and did not question his vision for her character.
Taking to her social media, Shruti shared glimpses of the sets and wrote, ”Presenting~•SAIMA•~Precious, Innocent and a piece of my heart. From the first day I stepped into Sanjay Sir’s world till the last day of my shoot, I have made heart melting and warm memories on the set!!”.
