Recently, Bollywood actors Ajay Devgn and Tabu, along with director Neeraj Panday and Oscar-winning music composer MM Keeravaani, launched the trailer of their upcoming film Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha in Mumbai on Thursday (13 June 2024).
While speaking at the trailer launch event, Ajay Devgn addressed the status of his highly anticipated Singham sequel, titled Singham Again, which is being directed by Rohit Shetty and stars Akshay Kumar, Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, Kareena Kapoor Khan, and Arjun Kapoor.
According to what Ajay Devgn said, it can be assumed that Singham Again will be delayed. The actor was asked for an update on Singham Again’s progress and whether it will be released on 15 August 2024 as scheduled.
Replying to the same, Ajay Devgn said, “We are not sure because the work on it is still going on. It is not complete. A little bit of shooting is still left to be done also. So we are not in a hurry because jaldbazi mein kaam kharaab ho jaata hai. As soon as we are ready, we’ll decide.”
Ajay Devgn also said that he is keen to star in a romantic movie at a time when most actors want to do action films. Speaking of trying to experiment with different genres, Ajay Devgn said, “More than difficult, I think it is important to stay different. When Neeraj narrated this story, I told him I loved this script. It touches you so much. I said I don’t know commercially what is going to happen. He said that he’ll manage that.”
He continued, “Many times we get that doubt in our mind, but it is important to do something different. I have tried doing that since the beginning. I did Thakshak and Raincoat when no one dared to do something different. I think that kept me going and I have learnt a few things from it. It is proving to be useful today.”
