Kangana Ranaut Rubbishes Viral Claim That She Partied With Gangster Abu Salem: ‘Utterly Disrespectful…’

Recently, a photograph of Kangana Ranaut, Bollywood actress turned politician, went viral on social media. In the photograph, Kangana Ranaut is seen with a glass of red wine in hand posing beside a man who is claimed to be gangster Abu Salem.

Many people online were claiming that the man in the photograph is Abu Salem; a criminal linked to Dawood Ibrahim’s D-Company for a long time. Now, Kangana Ranaut, who is currently campaigning for her upcoming Lok Sabha elections from the constituency of Mandi in Himachal Pradesh, has refuted the claim, saying the man in the photograph isn’t Abu Salem at all.

Taking to her Instagram stories, Kangana Ranaut said that the claims of her partying with Abu Salem is false. She wrote, “Desperate Congress officials are spreading this picture with the caption that I am partying with Gangster Abu Salem. This is utterly disrespectful to journalist Mr. Mark Manuel, who is the ex entertainment editor of Times of India. He is not Abu Salem and this picture is from one of the film promotion event parties.”

Kangana Ranaut is busy in the election campaigns in her native state of Himachal Pradesh. She recently met Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who visited Mandi in Himachal Pradesh to address a rally on 24 May. While meeting the Prime Minister, Kangana Ranaut greeted Narendra Modi and handed him a red rose in one of the photos.

Later, in a public meeting, she expressed gratitude for the opportunity to work under PM Modi’s leadership. She said, “The day has arrived to work under the guidance of PM Modi. Hailing PM Modi is like showing a candle to the sun himself. The technical and modern developmental works he has done are tremendous. Now I’m too part of his team and committed to the developmental works for Mandi as a party worker.”
