Filmmaker Karan Johar, who had an alleged fallout with Kartik Aaryan, praised the latter for his performance in ‘Chandu Champion.’
Taking to Instagram, Karan hailed Kabir Khan for his direction of the movie and Kartik’s portrayal of the lead character.
“Kabir Khan directs this brave and inspiring life tale like a love letter to the human spirit! Kartik Aaryan gives his career-best performance with a humane and honest portrayal… a must-watch,” the filmmaker wrote.
“Thank you Karan. Means a lot,” responded the actor.
The movie released on June 14 and it is winning Kartik immense praise for his acting as well as his physical transformation. It is based on the life of war hero Murlikant Petkar who went on to become a Paralympic champion.

Several stars including filmmakers like Karan Johar lauded the actor for his dedication to the role.
The two have an interesting history together which includes the alleged feud that led to the recasting of Dostana 2.

According to reports, Kartik Aaryan had shot some scenes for the movie but Dharma Productions announced it will recast actors film citing “professional circumstances.”
However, this is not the first time the filmmaker has praised Kartik. During the 2023 Indian Film Festival in Melbourne, Karan reflected on how the actor’s movie has resonated with the audience and wished him well.
