In 2024, Kriti Sanon completed 10 years in the Bollywood. Since debuting alongside Tiger Shroff in Heropanti, Sanon has come a long way. From Dilwale and Bareilly Ki Barfi to winning the National Film Award for her performance in Mimi, Sanon surely has a lot more where it all came from.

Sanon, who most recently starred in the hit heist comedy Crew alongside Kareena Kapoor Khan and Tabu, spoke about her career, and her latest blockbuster, in an interview with Elle India.

Speaking to Elle India about Crew, Sanon said that despite starring an all-female lead, it isn’t a movie about bashing men or putting them down. She said, “When I first heard the script from her (Rhea Kapoor), I knew this wasn’t a manifesto on feminism. This wasn’t about male bashing. This was just about the good, clean fun of three women outsmarting the authorities to steal a cachet of gold for themselves.”

According to the official synopsis of the movie, Crew is about three women working in the airline industry who get caught up in a web of lies after finding themselves in unwarranted situations. It also stars Diljit Dosanjh and Kapil Sharma in special appearances.

This is Sanon’s second hit movie in 2024. Her previous effort, Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya alongside Shahid Kapoor, was also a box-office success. The who hits have come after three consecutive flops in Shehzada, Adipurush, and Ganapath; all released in 2023. Recently, in Varanasi, Kriti Sanon and Ranveer Singh took part in a fashion show held along the banks of the Ganges river for Manish Malhotra’s ‘Banarasi Saree – A Tapestry of Indian Culture & Craftsmen’.

Directed by Rajesh A Krishnan and produced by Ekta Kapoor, Rhea Kapoor, and Anil Kapoor, Crew has made over ₹ 150 crores at the global box-office. It has also received rave reviews from critics, and has been praised by the audiences alike.
