Madgaon Express Vs Swatantrya Veer Savarkar: Kunal Kemmu’s Film Mints Rs 4.35 Cr; Randeep Hooda’s Falls Behind

The Saturday box office saw a welcome uptick in enthusiasm as both recent debuts, Madgaon Express and Swatantrya Veer Savarkar, experienced significant growth after a lukewarm opening day.

Madgaon Express, with an initial collection of approximately Rs 1.50 crores, surged to around Rs 2.70 – 3 crores on day 2, accumulating a two-day total of roughly Rs 4.35 crores nett. Meanwhile, Swatantrya Veer Savarkar, debuting with a Rs 1.10 crore nett start, experienced collections in the range of Rs 2-2.10 crores on day 2, resulting in a two-day cumulative of Rs 3.15 crores.

Though it’s early days for both films, the impressive growth percentage observed on Saturday suggests potential. If these movies can sustain their momentum over the weekdays, they stand a chance to garner respectable lifetime numbers. Madgaon Express, with its broader appeal, holds promise for an extended run compared to Swatantrya Veer Savarkar, which caters to a niche audience.

While Madgaon Express initially offered limited buy-one-get-one offers for the first few days, these promotions ceased from Sunday onward, making the upcoming performance intriguing to observe.
