Nora Fatehi recently opened up about the challenges and controversies she faced throughout her career, but she maintains a resilient and focused outlook. Reflecting on her journey, she told ETimes, “I approach things with a nonchalant attitude because, honestly, most of the time I am. I entered this industry with a thick skin, having come from a rough background before arriving in India. I was already hustling and grinding, so I had built up resilience.”
Nora is no stranger to online trolling, but she finds more frustration in the rumors and false narratives spread by influential people and media outlets. “Trolls are fine; comments don’t bother me much. The air is free, so people talk freely. What gets to me are certain influential people who tweet things, credible media publications that publish falsehoods, and industry insiders who spread rumors. They create false perceptions about me,” she explained.
Despite these challenges, Nora stays focused on her goals. “Even though I have a thick skin, I do question why these things happen. But then I remind myself of my purpose and my goals. I have to keep my eye on the prize. That’s why I appear nonchalant. I’m so heavily focused on my objectives that I don’t get distracted by the noise around me, even though I notice it.”
She emphasized that most of the rumours about her are false. “99% of what they say isn’t true. It’s disappointing when my success is attributed to false things, undermining my talent and hard work. It’s frustrating when people ignore the skill and effort I bring to the table and instead spread baseless reasons for my success.”
Despite the disappointments, Nora remains steadfast. “I don’t let these things shake me up because I’m so focused. I’m here for a purpose, and I won’t let baseless rumors distract me from my goals.”
