Sai Pallavi’s Old Video Comparing Kashmiri Pandit Exodus To Cow Vigilantism Is Going Viral; ‘Not Watching Ramayan’

South Indian actress Sai Pallavi has found herself embroiled in controversy following the resurfacing of an old interview clip where she made comparisons between the Kashmiri Pandit exodus and incidents of cow vigilantism. The actress, known for her outspoken nature, sparked outrage among netizens with her comments, leading to calls for boycotting her upcoming film, Ramayana.

In the interview with Great Andhra, Sai Pallavi expressed her views on the political landscape, stating that she grew up in a neutral environment and refrained from taking sides between left-wing and right-wing ideologies. However, her comparison between the plight of Kashmiri Pandits and recent incidents of cow vigilantism drew sharp criticism from viewers.

She was heard saying, “I grew up in a neutral environment. I have heard about the left-wing and right-wing. But, I cannot say who is right and who is wrong. The film, The Kashmir Files, shows how Kashmiri Pandits were killed. Recently, there was an incident of a person being killed for carrying a cow because he was suspected to be a Muslim. After killing the person, the attackers raised ‘Jai Shri Ram’ slogans. Where is the difference between what happened in Kashmir and what happened recently?”

Addressing the issue, Sai Pallavi took to Instagram to issue a statement, expressing regret over her words being misinterpreted. She assured her followers that she would be more cautious with her words in the future to avoid any further misunderstandings.

Despite her attempt to clarify the situation, angry fans continued to express their displeasure online, with many vowing to boycott her films, including the highly anticipated Ramayana. Social media was abuzz with comments condemning Sai Pallavi’s remarks, with some users even likening her situation to the recent controversy surrounding the film Adipurush.

Amidst the controversy, leaked images from the sets of Ramayana featuring Sai Pallavi as Sita and Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram went viral, further fueling anticipation for the film. Despite the backlash, fans eagerly await the release of the epic saga, eager to witness the on-screen chemistry between the talented duo.
