Salman Khan is one of the biggest stars in Bollywood. As luck would have it, he hit the jackpot with only his second film, Maine Pyar Kiya, that made him a star overnight. The veteran actor recently revealed that the Sooraj Barjatya film is still his favourite film of all time.
In an interview with Hello! Indo-Arabia, as quoted by Indian Express, Salman Khan recalled shooting Kabootar Ja Ja song when he was only 18-years-old. The song is special to him because it made him realize that he was deserving of the lead role in Maine Pyar Kiya. ”There was a truly memorable moment during the shoot for the song ‘Kabootar Ja Ja Ja’ when I suddenly knew that this was the role for me,” Salman Khan stated.
Salman Khan revealed that he imagined the likes of Anil Kapoor or Jackie Shroff doing his role and doubted himself. ”During several narrations, I’d imagine Jackie Shroff or Anil Kapoor in those roles, but I could never actually see myself doing big films,” he revealed.

Salman Khan continued, ”That moment was the first time I really felt, ‘Yes, I can do this’. I had tears in my eyes”. Maine Pyar Kiya also starred Bhagyashree in the lead role. The actress was not seen in the any films as she decided to focus on her family.
