Samsung Galaxy S24 series gets AI powered thanks to Google

Samsung Galaxy S24 Launch: The new smartphones come with AI features, Android 14 out of the box and support for fast charging.

Samsung Galaxy S24 series has been unveiled in New York on Wednesday and as expected, you have three models in the flagship lineup once again. Samsung Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24 Plus and the Galaxy S24 Ultra will be the major phones from the company this year and we’re eager to see how the new AI features function and advance the use of these phones in the coming months. Samsung has gone with a dual chipset strategy once again, using Exynos 2400 and the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC for different variants.

Samsung Galaxy S24 Series Price

Samsung Galaxy S24 series starts from $799 (Rs 64,500 approx) for the base model with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage, going up 512GB for the highest variant. The Galaxy S24 Plus comes for $999 (Rs 82,500 approx) for the base 12GB + 256GB model. And finally, the Galaxy S24 Ultra starting price this year is $1,300 (Rs 1,05,000 approx) which gets you the 12GB + 256GB model. Samsung Galaxy S24 Series Specifications

Samsung Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24 Plus sport a 6.2-inch FHD+ and QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, respectively. Both the phones are powered by Exynos 2400 chipset, with up to 12GB RAM and 512GB storage. Samsung is offering the Android 14-based One UI 6.1 version out of the box with these two phones. The company has also confirmed that starting with the Galaxy S24 series, buyers will get seven years of OS upgrades and security updates just like Google announced with the Pixel 8 series last year.

On the imaging front, the Galaxy S24 and S24 Plus models carry a triple rear camera system that gives you a 50MP primary wide sensor, a 12MP ultra-wide sensor, and a 10MP telephoto sensor. The front of the phones come with a 12MP shooter for selfies and video calls. The other big changes are in the battery department, where the Galaxy S24 and the Galaxy S24 Plus carry a 4,000mAh and 4,900mAh batteries, respectively, offering 25W and 45W wired charging speeds. In case you were wondering, they also get wireless charging support.

Coming to the big fish which is the Galaxy S24 Ultra, Samsung is clearly focusing on this model which gets the latest hardware and yes, AI features like live translate, chat assist, Android Auto with Samsung keyboard, and Note assist among others. It also gets a titanium frame this year which should help with better durability along with the available IP68 rating.

The phone features a 6.8-inch QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED display with adaptive 120Hz refresh rate screen. It is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset with 12GB RAM and up to 1TB as storage variants this year. The new S Pen comes with the regular features and some AI-centric tools as well.

Talking about cameras, the Ultra model gets a 200MP wide sensor along with a 50MP telephoto sensor that supports 5x optical zoom, OIS, a 10MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, OIS and a 12MP ultra-wide sensor. The large size phone gets a 5000mAh battery but you still have the same 45W wired charging support on this device.
