Sandeep Reddy Vanga Admits Faulty Theatrical Edit Of ‘Animal’; OTT Release Loaded With More ‘Shots’

Sandeep Reddy admits there are a few things left to do in the movie so he’s going to make some adjustments to the online streaming version of the action-packed blockbuster Animal.

While talking to film analyst Komal Nahta Sandeep Reddy Vanga shared that he’s busy ‘editing’ the online streaming version of Animal. He also mentioned being a bit unhappy with certain aspects of the movie and he plans to edit them before it hits Netflix.

Describing his initial reaction to watching the movie he expressed encountering several issues. There were problems with the song, some makeup mishaps, and costume discrepancies in certain scenes.

Regarding the content he mentioned that the sound went off and he couldn’t figure out how it happened. He admitted losing track of the language he was checking due to the film’s release in five languages, leading to a challenging final 20 days. He regretfully noted that he should have stayed in Chennai for another week.

Additionally he mentioned that he’s fixing those issues for the online streaming version. He explained that he was editing the version due to problems in 1-2 shots using different and a few more shots from the same take. Reflecting on his decision to cut the movie’s length from 3 hours 30 minutes to 3 hours 21 minutes he admitted it was a mistake. Now he plans to include those extra 5-6 minutes in the upcoming version.

Following the debut of Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Dunki’ and Prabhas’ ‘Salaar: Part 1- Ceasefire’ the earnings of the movie ‘Animal’ are gradually dropping. On the 22nd day, as reported by the media, the film gathered ₹1.15 crore at the box office.
