Varun Dhawan is gearing up for the release of his action entertainer, Baby John. While the film’s release was not too far, the makers have now revealed that it has been pushed back to December. While promoting the film with a new poster, the makers also shared a new release date citing post production delay.
The actor took to social media to announce the new premiere date along with a poster. He wrote “Christmas this year just got merrier. Brace yourselves for Baby John releasing on December 25th.” On the other hand, the new poster shows him amid a crowd getting ready to fight dressed in all black.
For the unversed, Christmas is also set to be the tentative release date for Aamir Khan’s comeback film titled Sitaare Zameen Par. While not confirmed, the film could see a clash at the box office.

Talking about the delay, the makers revealed that the film has been pushed backed “given the heavy reliance on visual effects and action sequences.” The official statement revealed “the team requires additional time to perfect every detail, ensuring that Baby John meets the high expectations of the audiences. Christmas release makes it a perfect time for this out and out massy entertainer.”
Details of the plot have not been released. It is supposed to be helmed by director A. Kaleeswaran and presented by Atlee in collaboration with Jio Studios and Cine1 Studios. The film will mark the Hindi film debut of Keerthy Suresh and silver screen debut of Wamiqa Gabbi.
Apart from Varun the film also stars Jackie Shroff, and Rajpal Yadav in pivotal roles.
