Recently, Shah Rukh Khan’s Kolkata Knight Riders won the 2024 Indian Premier League for the first time since 2014. Shah Rukh Khan’s love for cricket is well known, and recently Virender Sehwag recalled a time when he interacted with Aryan Khan, Shah Rukh Khan’s son, following India’s 2007 victory in the T20 World Cup.
Virender Sehwag was a part of India’s T20 World Cup winning squad. After the victory, there was a party held for the team, where Shah Rukh Khan was present. Virender Sehwag recalled seeing Aryan Khan at the party. Back then, Aryan Khan was only nine years old.
Virender Sehwag recalled his conversation with Aryan Khan during an appearance on Fever FM‘s Beyond The Boundary podcast. He said that, at the party, everyone was around Shah Rukh Khan while his son was sitting quietly in a corner.
Virender Sehwag spent quite a lot of time talking to Aryan Khan. During the interview, Virender Sehwag said, “I noticed Aryan was sitting alone so I went and sat next to him. We talked for quite some time. I even told him to advise his father not to do certain things. He responded, asking, ‘He’s my dad, how can I tell him such things?’ We had so much fun. Even now, when we meet, Shah Rukh Khan fondly recalls how I entertained his son.”
Aryan Khan is now 26 years old and will soon be debuting in Bollywood as a writer-director with a web series called Stardom. The shoot for Stardom was recently wrapped up.
After Kolkata Knight Riders’ victory, Shah Rukh Khan was seen celebrating with his whole family. Aryan Khan was also present during this time. Videos and photographs of Shah Rukh Khan’s kids hugging their father went viral on social media. Shah Rukh Khan’s wife Gauri Khan as well as Suhana Khan took to Instagram to share pictures from the IPL 2024 final.
