Actress and singer Aditi Saigal, stage name Dot. has made a name for herself in the entertainment industry with her soulful voice. An Indian indie musician, her name was featured in Forbes India in their 30 Under 30 list of 2024. She made her acting debut with Netflix’s The Archies, produced by Zoya Akhtar, which was released in 2023. Well, having established herself as a singer, she recently took to her official social media handle to announce that she will be opening for Ed Sheeran’s +-=÷x 2025 India Tour.
For those who don’t know, the Shape Of You singer will be hosting concerts in Pune, Hyderabad, Chennai, Bengaluru, Shillong, and Delhi NCR. As his first concert is all set to take place today, Dot. took to her Instagram handle to inform her fans about the exciting news. Sharing a poster of the concert, she wrote, “Tonight’s going to be awesome! ✨ So excited to open for @teddysphotos at Yash Lawns, Pune!”

Soon fans and her followers took to the comment section of her post to congratulate her. Her The Archies co-star Suhana Khan wrote, “Omg!! That’s amazing!! Congratulations (heart eyes emoji).” One fan wrote, “Glad that the PR didn’t trump actuall talent. You go gurrrlllll.”
In the film The Archies, she essayed the role of Ethel Muggs. She even lent her voice to songs like Sunoh, Dhishoom Dhishoom, and others in the film. While she is an established singer who has sung in many concerts, opening for Ed is surely a big deal. Earlier, singer Jasleen Royal became the first Indian singer to open for Coldplay during the Music of the Spheres World Tour. They performed five concerts, three in Mumbai and two in Ahmedabad. While it was a proud moment for India, the singer was brutally trolled for her dissonant and unmelodious voice.
