Content creator Apoorva Mukhija has been making the headlines for the past four months. After being embroiled in the India’s Got Latent controversy, she made her strong comeback on her social media handle to tell her side of the story. During the same time, not only did she make her Bollywood debut with Ibrahim Ali Khan and Khushi Kapoor starrer Nadaaniyan, is now one of the well-known players in The Traitors, which is airing on Prime Video. Currently travelling, she has now revealed that an airline worker refused to give her an emergency seat because she “looked” sick.
Taking to her Instagram story on Monday, Apoorva shared a selfie and expressed what happened with her. In the photo she was seen wearing a green hoodie and pants. With her face bare of any make-up and hair left untied, she shared he conversation with a staff member of the airline she was flying with. She explained that she was catching a flight with zero sleep. However when she requested for an emergency she was denied.

Quoted by Hindustan Times, she added, “I asked for an emergency seat, and the woman at the counter said we can’t give it to disabled bodies???? I was like, WTF??? I am fully abled (at least physically), and she was like, You are sick. I was like, Kisne bola aapko (Who told you)? And she said, Aapki shakal dekh ke lag raha hai (I can see it in your face), and when I was offended by this conversation, she was surprised??? And she also got offended???? LIKE???”
Talking about the India’s Got Latent controversy, she had appeared on Samay Raina’s comedy show alongside Ranveer Allahabadia and Ashish Chanchlani as guests. Being one of the panelists she was seen openly using abusive language and even asking a contestant if he had ever seen a vagina after being born out of one. It is to be noted that the contestant had first spoken about her private parts.

On the work front, she was last seen in Ibrahim Ali Khan and Khushi Kapoor starrer Nadaaniyan. She is currently starring in Karan Johar’s reality show The Traitors. An Indian adaptation of the internationally acclaimed thriller reality show of the same name, seen 20 celebrities, including actors, social media influencers and content creators, coming together in a game which will test their trust.
Released on Amazon Prime on 12th June, the makers will release 3 new episodes every Thursday at 8 pm. Hosted by Karan Johar, the winner of the show will reportedly stand a chance to win a prize money of Rs 1 crore.
