Dasheel Safary (28), who made his Bollywood debut with blockbuster Aamir Khan directorial Taare Zameen Par, portraying a dyslexic student, took to Instagram stories and reviewed the latest in the franchise, Sitaare Zameen Par.’
The Bumm Bumm Bole (2010) and Kutch Express (2023) actor wrote
My heart feels FULLER, SOFTER and HAPPIER. The film holds up a mirror with humor, grace, and heart. No pity, no preaching. Just presence, joy, and strength. You HAVE to watch this in theaters!!
He added,
It won’t stream. It’s not meant to. Some stories ask for silence, a screen, and your full heart. You’ll walk in curious and walk out a little more human.
In the second IG story he wrote “Sitaare, a cast that radiated pure sunshine—smiling eyes, so much warmth, and big hugs that felt like home. May their joy always be protected, and may the universe wrap them in all the happiness they deserve.”
Safary further added, “The OG Taara is here.”
Released on June 20, 2025, Sitaare Zameen Par features Aamir Khan as a basketball coach for neurodivergent players, whom he is tasked to train for an upcoming competition as a part of community service for DUI and hitting a cop’s patrol car.
The sports comedy is a Hindi remake of Campeones (2018), a Spanish film that was inspired by a real-life incident from the town of Burjassot in Valencia, Spain. The Aderes team, based out of the town, comprised intellectually challenged individuals who went on to seize twelve Spanish Championships between 1999 and 2014.
A 2018 documentary, ‘Ni distintos ni diferentes: Campeones,’ tells the true story behind the team that inspired the Spanish film and eventually the Hindi movie. Campeon’s sequel, Campeonex, was released in 2023
Meanwhile, Sitaare Zameen Par has generally earned positive reviews so far, earning a little over 11 crore on day one at the box office.
