Ganesh Acharya Reveals What Allu Arjun Said After Release Of Pushpa 2; ‘People Are Appreciating Me…’

Choreographer-director Ganesh Acharya recently opened up about not getting his due credit in Bollywood and claimed that people down South are more respectful towards technicians. During an interview with Bharti Singh and her husband Haarsh Limbachiyaa on their YouTube channel Bharti TV, Ganesh shared that Allu Arjun called him to give him credit for his choreography in Pushpa.

He told the comedian that, “I am not complaining about Bollywood or downgrading it. Bollywood taught us a lot and we are who we are because of it, but because of a few people, the environment is getting worse. This needs to be fixed. They need to focus on their technicians and script.”

Meanwhile talking about South film industry, he added, “They (South) respect their technicians a lot. They just go to get their make up once and then they go for lunch. In between, there is no manager, no makeup.”

Ganesh Acharya shared that often directors and producers oversee the efforts of choreographers and technicians, and change steps at the last minute to please stars. He added that while behind the scenes big promises are made, the makers also can’t say much in front of the star. “They change the choreography at the end minute to please the stars. They don’t care about the efforts a choreographer puts into choreographing a song,” Ganesh was quoted by Indian Express.

He added while he was lucky enough to not have to go through stars’ tantrums, “I feel bad when I hear such stories from others who go through it.” On the difference between Bollywood and South industry, Ganesh Acharya also told the comedian that “In Bollywood, people only praise a star, they don’t see the efforts put by a director, choreographer or a technician. However, this is not the case down South.”

Talking about Allu Arjun he revealed, “In Bollywood, we have a lot of ego. After I choreographed Pushpa songs, Allu Arjun himself called me a couple of days later. He gave me credit. He said, ‘Master ji apke wajah se hua. (This is all because of you.) No Bollywood actor has ever given me credit. But, Allu Arjun praised me so much and said, ‘People are appreciating me because of you.’”

“He didn’t just stop at that, he even invited me to Hyderabad for Pushpa’s success party. It was not an ordinary party where people drink and dance. They had put a stage, and were awarding technicians. A light man who was part of Pushpa also got an award,” Ganesh Acharya concluded.
