Opening about the film’s box-office predictions, trade analyst Akkshay Rathie told the media publication that the film should do a minimum business of Rs 200 crore at the box office. Quoted by Indian Express, he said, “Given the trailer, the cast, and the setup, I am very confident that the film will open to great numbers. If the reports are great, and the film is entertaining like the other parts, I am sure it will go on to do great numbers. Imagine a cast that is such an eclectic mix of people, it’s one of the most exciting lineups I have seen in a while. I would be fairly disappointed if Housefull 5 doesn’t do a minimum of Rs 200 crore at the box office. It has the potential to entertain the audience.”
