Filmmaker Karan Johar often takes to his social media handles to connect with his followers and share his thoughts and feelings. On Monday, he took to his Instagram stories to express that he is considering a social media detox after reading ‘bad news’ online every day.
Being one of the most active celebrities on Instagram, he shared the news with his followers, leaving them concerned. Taking to his official social media handle, quoted by the Free Press Journal, he wrote, “Is everyone else getting anxious seeing only bad news on the gram??? Have seriously considered a detox!”

Well, considering how social media handles are slowly taking over the news publications by sharing quick updates on the things happening around us, it seems like the filmmaker might just be considering taking a break from the internet.
For those who don’t know, he has been making the headlines for his drastic weight loss. While netizens speculated about his use of Ozempic, he opened up about the weight loss during Dhadak 2 trailer launch event. Johar said, “I was reading on the Internet yesterday, people had already killed me. They said, ‘What has happened to you? Which illness is this? I want to say this to everyone, my health is absolutely fine. I’m very happy. I’ve never felt lighter on my feet.”

“There is only one reason behind my weight loss… I have adopted many new things to change my wellness in my life. I am alive and will remain alive. I’d like to tell the Internet that I want to live for many years, specifically for my children. I still have a lot of stories left in me,” he concluded.
On the work front, Karan Johar was recently seen on the small screen hosting Prime Video’s new reality show The Traitors. His last directorial project was Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, starring Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt. As a producer, he has the upcoming films Homebound, Dhadak 2, Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri, Naagzilla, and others in his pipeline.
