Bollywood filmmaker Anurag Basu is currently busy enjoying the release of his much-awaited film Metro… In Dino. A spiritual sequel of his 2007 film Life In A… Metro, the movie has been receiving a positive response from the netizens. He is also currently gearing up to wrap the shooting of his upcoming untitled film starring Kartik Aaryan and Sreeleela. While the details of the film are kept under wraps, the director has now revealed that he will be now focusing on completing the shooting of the film.
Talking to News18 Showsha about the same, the 55-year-old filmmaker revealed that they are yet to shoot half the film, which will be completed within a month. He also shared that currently, his focus is on wrapping up the project. Mentioning another exciting update, he also explained that the makers are planning on announcing the title and release date of the romantic musical soon.

Basu said, “Half of it is done, half is remaining. The shooting will begin very soon, and the film will be completed within a month. We’ll announce the title and release date soon. I’m just focused on wrapping it up well.”
For those who don’t know, the Kartik and Sreeleela starrer was tentatively titled Aashiqui 3. However, due to some disputes and issues, the makers have yet to officially announce the title of the film. In the announcement teaser of the film, his character was seen singing Tu Meri Zindagi Hai, from Aashiqui, in a rugged musician look, while remembering sweet and romantic moments between his and Sreeleela’s characters. Tentatively set for a release on Diwali 2025, the film might clash with Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna starrer Thama in theatres.

Release on July 4, 2025, Metro… In Dino is said to be a spiritual sequel to Life in a… Metro (2007). Both directed by Anurag Basu, the films are an anthology consisting of four stories of contemporary couples living in Mumbai. How all their lives are interwoven is the crux of the film. The film stars Aditya Roy Kapoor, Sara Ali Khan, Konkona Sensharma, Pankaj Tripathi, Anupam Kher, Neena Gupta, Fatima Sana Shaikh, and Ali Fazal in lead roles.
