Bollywood filmmaker Farhan Akhtar is currently preparing to start the shoot of his action-packed film Don 3. A part of the franchise which has earlier starred Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan, the makers had earlier announced that the leading lady of the film will be Kiara Advani. However, after she announced her first pregnancy with her husband, Sidharth Malhotra, reports started surfacing that she backed out of the film due to constant delays. Later media reports stated that Kriti Sanon is being approached for the role. Now, it is being reported that Kriti and Ranveer might just recreate the iconic song Aaj Ki Raat, filmed on Shah Rukh Khan, Priyanka Chopra, and Isha Koppikar.
Yes, you read that right! The original track, which featured Priyanka and Isha shaking a leg with SRK, who played the role of Don, will reportedly be recreated for the upcoming film. According to a report by the Free Press Journal, the energetic dance number, similar to Aaj Ki Raat, will feature Kriti, Ranveer, and yet another actress, whose name is yet to be confirmed by the makers of the film.

While anything about the project is yet to be confirmed by Akhtar and his team, the 34-year-old actress dropped a major hint about their soon-to-happen collaboration with the Dhurandhar actor. Penning a heartfelt birthday note, she said on Instagram, “Happiest Birthday @ranveersingh !! Your energy, your hardwork, your crazzyy talent and the love you keep spreading has always inspired me!! Shine on rockstar! P.S. looking forward to working with you soon!”
According to various media reports, the filming of Don 3 will begin in January 2026 and will aim for a theatrical release in December 2026.

Talking about the film’s franchise, a remake of Amitabh Bachchan’s Don (1987), the Farhan Akhtar directorial Don: The Chase Begins Again (2006) was loved by the audience. Starring Shah Rukh Khan and Priyanka Chopra in lead roles, the sequel to the first movie, Don 2: The King Is Back, was released in 2011.
