Indian filmmaker Sandeep Reddy Vanga made a mark for himself in the entertainment industry with his film Arjun Reddy. He remade the film in Hindi, titled Kabir Singh, and became a household name. As his film Animal was released, he became a talking point on every discussion platform for showcasing toxic masculinity in his films. As he gears up for the shoot of his upcoming film Spirit, he was one of the first directors to praise Mohit Suri directorial Saiyaara. Now, the latter has also expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the former’s films.
On Thursday, the Aashiqui 2 director took to his X (formerly known as Twitter) handle to thank Vanga for openly believing in Saiyaara. He wrote, “Sandeep, @imvangasandeep thank you for being the first one to openly support and express your generous belief in Saiyaara. It meant the world coming from a filmmaker whose craft I deeply admire. I’ve always respected the raw emotion, fearlessness and intensity you bring to your stories. It reminds me why we do what we do to move people,to connect. Grateful to walk this path alongside storytellers like you. Here’s to more powerful cinema and always a fan!”

Talking about Saiyaara, just within six days of its release, the movie has surpassed many box office collection predictions by crossing the Rs 100 crore mark. This feat not only makes Saiyaara the fastest film of 2025 to achieve the milestone, but also makes it one of the highest-grossing Bollywood movies of the year. Having released last Friday, Suri’s film has collected Rs 153.75 crore.

Saiyaara is a tale of love, heartbreak, and pain, featuring Ahaan Panday as a rising musician Krish Kapoor and Aneet Padda as an innocent lyricist Vaani Batra. Released on July 18, 2025, the film is directed by Mohit Suri. Co-starring Rajesh Kumar, Varun Badola, Shaad Randhawa, and others, the film is produced by YRF.
