Sanjay Kapoor and Maheep Kapoor’s daughter, Shanaya Kapoor, is finally poised to make her cinematic debut with the film Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan, with its trailer unveiled on Tuesday. However, the trailer launch event was marred by a wardrobe malfunction that drew unwanted attention.
During the event, Shanaya experienced a wardrobe mishap when the strap of her blouse broke, causing her visible discomfort. A news portal exacerbated the situation by sharing a video of the incident online, specifically highlighting the moment. The portal posted the clip on Instagram with the caption, “Shanaya Kapoor handled the oops moment so gracefully.” In the footage, Shanaya can be seen appearing nervous and quickly walking to her team to address the issue.
The online post sparked outrage among netizens, who criticized the portal for publicizing such a moment. One user commented under the video, “Why do you have to post someone’s oops moment?” while another remarked, “She handled it but u destroyed it as usual.” A netizen further questioned the portal’s ethics, asking, “Where is your grace? The way you guys pointing out the moment shamelessly and focusing your camera…” Despite the incident, Shanaya returned to the stage.
After several false starts in her career, Shanaya is now set to make her Bollywood debut with Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan, starring alongside Vikrant Massey. The film promises to deliver an unconventional yet passionate love story on the big screen, generating anticipation among audiences.

Shanaya’s journey to her debut has been fraught with challenges. She was initially slated to debut three years ago with Karan Johar’s Bedhadak, but the project was shelved after prolonged delays. Subsequent reports suggested she would be part of Student Of The Year 3, but that project also fell through.
Additionally, Shanaya was set to debut in the south Indian film Vrushabha, but despite completing the shoot, the film’s release has been postponed for undisclosed reasons. Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan is scheduled to hit theaters on July 11, marking a significant milestone in Shanaya’s career.
