Bollywood Saif Ali Khan has been making the headlines for quite some time now. As the security around him has been tightened, after the robbery attack which left him with several stab marks, Mumbai police continue to investigate the matter. In the midst of it all, reports of him losing his historical properties surfaced on the internet, leaving netizens shocked. As per media reports, the actor and his family had inherited properties belonging to the erstwhile rulers of Bhopal with an estimated worth of Rs 15,000 crore.
A new report by the Free Press Journal, stated that the survey to update records of the enemy properties linked to the 54-year-old actor seems to continue in Bhopal. It is being conducted by the Directorate of Enemy Property in New Delhi. It serves as the head office of the Custodian of Enemy Property for India (CEPI).

It was on December 13, 2024, that the Madhya Pradesh High Court had asked Saif to approach the Directorate of Enemy Property within 30 days so as to challenge the order by the Centre. For those who don’t know, the Centre had declared the Pataudi family’s historic property as “enemy property.”
FPJ reports that the Adipurush actor filed an appeal with the Directorate, after he initially requested more time to do so. The properties continue to remain in a legal dispute after a February 24, 2015 order, which was issued by the Custodian of Enemy Property. For those who don’t know, the order classified that the Bhopal Nawab’s properties were considered enemy property under the provisions of the Enemy Property Act.

Saif and his mother, veteran actress Sharmila Tagore (Pataudi) had earlier challenged the order. Quoted by the Free Press Journal, advocate Jagdish Chhavani, who has handled matters related to the actor’s properties, had said, “After the High Court vacated the stay and instructed him to approach the Directorate, the government has now become active in updating the information about these properties.”
Reacting to the claim, Bhopal Collector Kaushalendra Vikram Singh had dismissed it and stated that the enemy property survey in Bhopal was completed in 2010.
On the work front, Saif Ali Khan was last seen in Devara: Part 1, opposite Jr NTR and Janhvi Kapoor. He has Jewel Thief: The Red Sun Chapter, Race 4, Spirit, and Devara: Part 2 in his pipeline.
