Bollywood titan Salman Khan is earning Rs. 120 crore for his next film Sikandar, an action thriller directed by A.R. Murugadoss and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala. This figure, which includes his acting fee and a profit-sharing deal, highlights his confidence in the project, set to release on 28 March 2025 for Eid al-Fitr. Rashmika Mandanna, his co-star and the film’s leading lady, is being paid Rs. 5 crore for her role.
A source revealed, “Salman Khan is charging Rs. 120 crore for Sikandar, which includes his acting fee and a profit-sharing arrangement.” The same source added, “Rashmika Mandanna has been roped in for Rs. 5 crore.” Salman’s fee outstrips his earnings from Tiger 3 in 2023, where he made over Rs. 100 crore – covering his salary, profit share, and bonuses – from the film’s Rs. 449 crore worldwide gross. That project starred Katrina Kaif and Emraan Hashmi.
The Sikandar teaser dropped on 28 December 2024, delayed from Salman’s 59th birthday due to former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh’s death. Production has featured a major action sequence at Mumbai’s Chitrakoot Grounds with 200 dancers, a stylish shoot at Hyderabad’s Falaknuma Palace, and an aerial action scene at Hyderabad’s Marri Chenna Reddy Human Resource Development Institute. The cast includes Sathyaraj, Prateik Babbar, Kajal Aggarwal, and Sharman Joshi. This reunites Salman with Nadiadwala, their first collaboration since Kick in 2014.
Backed by a Rs. 400 crore budget, Sikandar is poised for a massive Eid 2025 debut. Salman also recently wrapped up hosting Bigg Boss 18, and will be reportedly gearing up for a 2025 film with Atlee, keeping his schedule packed, even though the project has been facing some issues recently.
