Salaar Box Office Day 1: Prabhas’ Film Dethrones Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan To Become The Biggest Opener Of 2023

Prashanth Neel’s Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire, was released in theatres yesterday, and it seems the movie will be setting new box office records. The first-day box office collection early estimates suggest that the movie will become the highest-opener of the year 2023. And with that, it will remove Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan from the top spot on the list.

According to Sacnilk, the movie earned Rs 95 crore on its opening day in India. The report stated that the movie earned Rs 70 crore from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana regions. The occupancy in those regions was 88.93 percent. The movie collected Rs 12 crore and Rs 5 crore from Karnataka and Kerala. Well, SRK’s Jawan scored Rs 75 crore on the first day of its release, while Ranbir Kapoor’s brutal drama, Animal, opened at Rs 63 crore.

It is being reported that Salaar has collected Rs 175 crore worldwide on its first day.
After consecutive flops, it looks like Prabhas is back with a bang. The next three would be crucial, as they will tell what the audience is choosing to watch in theatres.
